Colis Privé and Transcan eco city: an ESG partnership for decarbonized urban delivery

TRANSCAN-ECOCITY

A strategic alliance to decarbonize urban deliveries in the Alpes-Maritimes region

A major player in last-mile delivery, Colis Privé is accelerating its environmental transition by partnering with Transcan Eco City, a subsidiary of the Transcan Group and a recognized specialist in sustainable urban logistics.

This partnership marks a key milestone in the Group’s ambition to provide decarbonized, high-performance urban delivery solutions that meet evolving consumer expectations while addressing increasing urban constraints.

By leveraging electric vehicles, cargo bikes, and optimized transport models, both companies demonstrate that reducing carbon emissions can go hand in hand with operational efficiency and enhanced customer experience.

“Our collaboration with Colis Privé, which has been in place for several months, has been a real success. By managing all last-meter deliveries in Nice and Cannes using electric cargo bikes, we are proving that high-performance urban logistics can be fully decarbonized,” explains Christophe Debrabandere, Managing Director of Transcan Eco City.

Transcan Group: A strong local player supporting more sustainable logistics

Based in the Alpes-Maritimes region, Transcan Group has established itself as a key regional player in freight transport and logistics. Structured around three complementary divisions, the Group covers the entire operational supply chain:

  1. Urban Distribution

Through Transcan Eco City, the Group manages last-mile and last-meter deliveries using a 100% electric fleet adapted to dense urban environments.

  1. End-to-EndLogistics

The Group’s infrastructure enables sorting, storage, and preparation of diverse logistics flows, with a processing capacity of up to 4,000 parcels per day.

  1. Road Transport

Transcan deploys trailers, traction solutions, and high-volume transport services, ensuring seamless logistics continuity from origin to destination.

Historically focused on B2B operations, Transcan now supports numerous B2C e-commerce players, strengthening its expertise in urban delivery and the management of growing parcel flows.

Transcan eco city: reinventing last-meter urban delivery

With four years of operations, Transcan Eco City has become an innovative model for urban logistics.

Its concept is based on proximity hubs located in city centers, enabling fully emission-free final delivery.

Once parcels reach urban areas, deliveries are carried out using:

  • 55 electric cargo bikes operating daily between Nice and Cannes
  • 15 fully electric Renault vehicles
  • A flexible solution tailored to both B2B and B2C markets
  • A 100% silent delivery organization designed to reduce noise pollution and improve traffic flow

This approach not only reduces CO₂ emissions but also helps ease congestion in city centers, where freight delivery has become a major challenge for local authorities.

Through this system, Colis Privé significantly reduces transport-related emissions while improving the efficiency of urban deliveries — a major advantage in congested areas facing rapidly evolving regulations, including Low Emission Zones (LEZs), traffic restrictions, and noise control measures.

A shared vision for more responsible urban logistics

By combining their expertise, Colis Privé and Transcan Eco City share a clear ambition: to develop high-performance, competitive, and environmentally responsible urban logistics solutions.

This partnership fully aligns with Colis Privé’s ESG strategy, supported by concrete commitments to:

  • Reduce CO₂ emissions throughout the entire transport chain
  • Decongest city centers and improve coexistence with urban users
  • Develop local logistics solutions rooted in regional ecosystems
  • Support sustainable delivery models aligned with future urban regulations

Colis Privé therefore reinforces its role as a committed player in building more responsible urban delivery solutions, serving consumers, retailers, and local communities.
