Colis Privé and GERES: Fighting Energy Poverty and Supporting Local Solidarity in Marseille

Colis Privé partners with GERES to tackle energy poverty in Marseille. This local initiative brings real improvements to residents’ daily lives through practical solutions and strong social commitment.

A Local Project to Support Families in Need

Since 2022, Colis Privé has worked with GERES to combat energy poverty in Marseille. Focused on the neighborhoods of Square National and Terrasses de la Cabucelle, the project has already helped 100 households reduce their energy costs and improve their living conditions. By offering practical tools and raising awareness of energy-saving habits, this program promotes both sustainability and social inclusion.

As part of the project, energy-efficient equipment was installed — including LED bulbs, water-saving devices, and air circulators — helping households lower their consumption while improving comfort. The program also offered tailored support to help struggling families access available financial aid and better understand their energy bills. This guidance plays a key role in helping families gain more control over their energy use.  In addition, home visits were carried out to teach simple eco-friendly habits that can make a big difference. Families learned how small changes in their daily routines can lead to real savings in water and electricity.
