The 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

How will Colis Privé deliver parcels during the Olympic and Paralympic Games?

This summer, France will host the Olympic Games from 26th July to 11th August and the Paralympic Games from 28th August to 08th August.

These exceptional events will impact the daily lives of residents of certain urban areas, more particularly in the Ile-de-France region, as well as the activity of Colis Privé. In order to keep us ready, the Colis Privé teams have rethought the organization of collections and deliveries in the areas concerned.

Colis Privé, ready to take on the challenge of the Olympics!

Below you will find the system designed for this period.

Lanes reserved for the Olympic Games in Ile-de-France:

We have planned early departures from our Hubs to our regional agencies depending on the destinations to anticipate traffic difficulties.

Blue zones / Red zones:

  • In IDF, a backup team will be dedicated to delivery to restricted areas. This team will be in place from July 15 until mid-September. Deliverers will be provided with authorization for the delivery and collection of packages. Deliveries to these areas will be delivered on foot.
  • For certain events (marathons, bike races) blocking traffic on certain roads, delivery delays will be expected.
  • In the Province, events taking place at the end of the day, the blue/red zones will be activated mainly excluding delivery activity. Occasionally and in a very localized manner, deliveries may be postponed by one day. The cities concerned are : Bordeaux, Châteauroux, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Saint-Etienne.

Safety zone and grey zone:

These are inaccessible areas. Consequently, the parcels will be delivered to the referring pickup point in the delivery area.
