How does a locker work?

You are one of the customers of one of our partner sites (Amazon or others), and you wish to place an order for items, opting for a locker pick-up service for your package. But you’re not exactly sure how this locker delivery service works and how you’ll be able to easily retrieve your package once it arrives. So, let’s go over together what a locker pick-up point is, how a locker works, and how to collect your package via a locker.

Please note that our locker units are only available for package pick-up, not for sending packages.

Also known as “24/7 locker,” the locker is actually a package delivery service with a locker system. Each locker – or compartment – can hold a package with a maximum weight of 20 kg, with maximum dimensions that must not be exceeded for the package to fit inside the locker. But you’re probably wondering how to save time by using a locker delivery service available all over France?

One of the biggest advantages of lockers is that these 24/7 lockers are accessible 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. How is this possible? This vast time window is possible because these lockers are always placed in outdoor spaces. So, your locker will be accessible without time constraints. You’ll find several lockers from the parcel delivery network in supermarket parking lots or on public roads. So, if you feel like picking up your package on a Sunday evening at 11 p.m. from your designated locker, that’s perfectly possible!

Moreover, as a customer of the locker network for your packages, you will also save time when picking up your parcels from the locker. How and why? Because with a standard home delivery, you must be available during the time slot indicated by the chosen delivery service, which is generally 4 hours. With locker pick-up, the customer only needs to adapt to the opening hours of the retailer and wait with other customers when picking up the package on the specified day.

How do you collect a package from a locker? By opting for locker pick-up, it will only take a few seconds to enter your delivery code into the locker. You will know the locker number containing your items, and you can collect your delivery immediately from that locker. How do you know your tracking code for the locker package? This delivery tracking number will be sent to you by email and also via SMS. So, you will be able to easily check your code to immediately retrieve your delivery from the locker, anywhere in France.

In addition, despite their great availability, the locker package delivery service is just as secure as delivery to a parcel pick-up point or your home. How is that possible? Because this locker pick-up system is protected by the tracking code sent by email or SMS to the recipient of the package. This code prevents anyone else from picking up your package from the locker. Furthermore, the locations of the lockers are generally situated in areas secured by surveillance cameras.
